The Lawson Charitable Foundation was created in 2021 by Cathy and Tom Lawson. The mission of the Foundation is to help those that are working hard to help themselves and others.

Amplifying Impact Through 401Gives
The Lawson Charitable Foundation is proud to participate in 401Gives for the second year in a row, continuing our commitment to strengthening the incredible nonprofit community that serves Rhode Island and beyond.
As part of this year’s campaign, we are thrilled to share that we have awarded $40,100 in Amplify Grants to 26 nonprofit organizations participating in 401Gives, powered by United Way of Rhode Island.
Yes, $40,100 — a meaningful nod to 401Gives and the spirit of this statewide day of generosity.
How These Grants Make a Difference
Our Amplify Grants are designed to help build momentum for organizations during 401Gives by elevating their fundraising efforts and encouraging broader community support. These 26 nonprofits represent important work across our giving areas, including support for children, families, veterans, and individuals facing critical needs.
We invite you to explore the organizations selected for this year’s Amplify Grants and learn more about the missions they are advancing. Each organization listed below includes a direct link to their 401Gives fundraising page, making it easy for our community to support the causes that resonate most.
Explore, Connect, Support
We invite you to browse our 2026 401Gives Amplify Grant recipients and discover the incredible work happening across the area to support residents right here in Rhode Island.
